SAS Developer 2 9310
Description: This individual will play a role in the design and implementation of complex SAS applications serving a Federal statistical program.
Duties include assisting with defining product architecture and code design with an eye toward flexibility and maintainability; choosing development technologies; identifying applicable best practices; optimizing and automating build/release processes; working with multiple hardware and database platforms during the development phase of software products; maintaining awareness of industry trends in software technology and making recommendations to management; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications A minimum of three years experience in applications development /LI> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
SAS programming experience in a Unix (or similar) environment.
At least one year of SAS Macro experience Data reporting and statistical analysis experience Knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows and UNIX.
Excellent programming, leadership, communication, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Must have the following: *US Citizenship *Bachelor's degree, related technical training (or equivalent experience) plus at least two years of directly related expe *SAS programming experience in a Unix (or similar) environment.
*At least one year of SAS Macro experience, Data reporting and statistical analysis experience.
*Knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows and UNIX.
Prefer the following: *Experience with Rational Unified Processing (RUP) *Experience with object-oriented lanugauges, such as J2EE or C#.
