00 an hour/Scanning medical records and completing release of information requests Smart Document Solutions is actively seeking qualified candidates with previous medical records or medical office experience for a part - time Medical Records Release of Information Specialist to service a hospital facility in Fredericksburg, VA .
Smart Document Solutions delivers quality service to thousands of hospitals, clinics and group practices nationwide using the latest in medical record technology.
The Medical Records Release of Information Specialist will be responsible for pulling records and microfilm as well as other clerical duties when necessary.
Some scanning of medical records may be required for back up. It requires someone with a high level of professionalism, who is customer service focused and detail oriented.
This is a part-time position averaging 20 (+) hours a week, 4 hours a day. The hired associate will have the option to choose from the following work schedule after training has been completed; Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 11:00 am 7:30 am - 11:30 am 8:00 am - Noon Applicants must have good customer service skills, have the ability to work independently and learn quickly.
The ideal candidate will have experience in terminal digit filing, medical terminology and the ability to understand medical forms.
*Previous experience in medical records or medical office environment HIGHLY PREFERRED.
*Will accept strong clerical administrative skills in lue of medical environment experience.
*Must be computer / Microsoft Office proficient.
*Have the ability to do light physical labor in relation to the job duties.
*$10.
00 an hour compensation is based on scanning 200 pages per hour
