Underwriter: Fremont Bank
Fremont Bank, one of the most successful lenders in the East Bay Area and an award winner of one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area, has an immediate opening for an Underwriter.
The Underwriter (Fulfillment Specialist III) is responsible for approving a designated amount of residential loan files (from application to approval) with "Prior to Fund" conditions on a daily basis.
The Fulfillment Specialist III will perform complex underwriting on conforming and Jumbo products.
The incumbent must be knowledgeable in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other outside investor underwriting guidelines.
-Bachelor's degree in Business, accounting, finance; or 5 years related experience in underwriting mortgage loans.
-5 years of investor loan processing, underwriting or closing experience-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills-Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast paced environment-Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and within established time frames-Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude-Prior customer service experience in a mortgage environment is required-Experience working with a Windows-based computer environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
-Must be a resident expert in automated underwriting systems (DU/LP/Assetwise)-Must be knowledgeable in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending guidelines-Knowledge in Loan Origination System such as Empower a plus Interested candidates should submit their application via our website at www.fremontbank.com and click on "Careers".
