Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job Title: Trainer Department: Human Resources Reports To: Training Manager Interfaces With: All levels of Credit Union employees and management, training vendors Job Purpose: Design, implement, and deliver training as required by the needs of the company.
This will include, but is not limited to: product, process, sales, and technical training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide all forms of training to new hires (including group presentations) and coordinate the New Hire Certification Program.
This includes but is not limited to training on systems, products, processes, procedures, sales and service.
- Prepare and maintain course materials including multi-media presentations, role playing scenarios, and reference materials.
- Perform needs assessments to evaluate training programs and courses in an effort to identify how individual development needs are being met. Make recommendations for ongoing improvements to the training program.
- Design and/or recommend training programs as necessary.
- Identify areas where there is a gap between training and expected performance and recommend solutions to reduce this gap. - Work closely with the credit union management team and the training department to anticipate and fulfill the training needs for the entire company.
- Responsible for coordinating Cross-Functional Task Forces to help assess training needs.
Work with the Training Manager to implement any required changes/additions to the training program based on feedback received from these task forces.
- Manage the Training Evaluation Process and ensure that training evaluations are received immediately following new hire training, at 30-days, and again at 90-days following the initial new hire training.
- Responsible for coordinating and conducting the New Hire Group Orientation and updating it as required.
- Maintain product tests for lending, deposit, and services areas.
- Maintain reports to be updated regularly and distributed quarterly on product certification and compliance regulations.
- Act as the systems expert helping maintain security and providing additional support as needed to all departments and Financial Centers.
- Serve as back-up to the HR department as required.
- This position is an equal mix of administrative functions and classroom training; the successful candidate must be able to perform all levels of administrative work, in addition to classroom training.
Qualifications: - 1-2 years experience in all aspects of training in various types/courses required - Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook, and PowerPoint require - Advanced User preferred - Ability to navigate comfortably within a database system - Must be able to maintain confidentiality - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Outstanding and effective presentation skills; previous presentations experience required - Experience in the banking/finance industry a strong plus - Knowledge of HR functional areas preferred but not required ***************************************************************** Meriwest offers progressive advancement opportunities, great salaries, incentive plans, and a dynamic and friendly work environment.
