Telephone Sales Agent
The Provident Bank, a multi-billion dollar New Jersey Bank, with branches in ten counties is seeking part-time Telephone Sales Agents for our Call Center located in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
The Telephone Sales Agents respond to all incoming sales and service calls by addressing customer concerns by means of promoting and selling products and services.
This includes building customer relationships through cross-selling loan and deposit products and services and evaluating customer profiles and financial situations to help the customer select the most appropriate product to suit their financial needs.
Also supports the Bank's sales and marketing initiatives by following the Bank's recommended sales process.
The Telephone Sales Agents independently respond to customer inquiries regarding loans and deposits and ensure that security procedures are not breached as well as resolving customer concerns and distributing all relevant data to appropriate departments by using e-mail and queues.
The Telephone Sales Agents are also responsible for staying abreast of any new and/or changes to existing Bank and department policies and procedures, products, services and marketing trends to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements: EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 2 to 3 years banking experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret scripts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively on the telephone.
Ability to sell and/or make appointments and/or obtain qualified leads by telephone.
Basic knowledge of keyboard and PC skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide monetary units and to perform arithmetic operations with the use of a calculator.
Ability to work scheduled hours - 1 pm to 7 p.
m and rotating Saturdays 8:45 am to 2 pm Bilingual a plus (fluency in Spanish).
