System Administrator: Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union
System AdministratorLocation: Downtown Knoxville JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for day-to-day operation of Credit Union servers, and pertaining hardware and software.
Responsible for deployment of new Server's/Software.
Maintain backup procedures for server's and data.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor, maintain and correct (where necessary) Credit Union server environment for all Credit Union employees and delivery channels.
Responsible for all server's including software upgrades to the equipment.
Responsible for the successful installation of new server's/software and the migration to new server's/software.
Responsible for the distribution and utilization of Credit Union Server Based Software.
Responsible for Server Security.
Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.Be available for on-call assignments after hours, holidays, and weekends.
Present self in a professional manner (appearance, behavior and performance).
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work cooperatively with others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe System Administrator should possess the technical skills necessary to support Credit Union current and emerging technologies.
Possess the ability to analyze, research, and explain technical details is required.
Ability to exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills as well as having interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
Ability to be flexible and have a service oriented view to fulfill member, staff, and Credit Union needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all Credit Union functions.
Possess well-developed communications skills where discretion, accuracy and clarity are essential.
Ability to be available for after-hour assignments and emergencies as necessary.
Possess in-depth judgment and decision-making capabilities in order to solve major, complex problems.
Possess in-depth knowledge of various Operating System's including Windows/Linux/UnixWORK CONDITIONS: Ability to routinely sit; occasionally bend, stoop, and crawl; and rarely push/pull, lift or carry loads above or below 10 pounds, drive as required to accomplish assignments.
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Work is typically done in the office at companys principal place of business and branches.
Responsibilities may require off site attendance at seminars or meetings with consultants, professional, or community groups.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Prefer Associates Degree in computer related field.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Individual must possess the knowledge, skills and ability required to execute the essential functions in a satisfactory manner.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 to 3 years previous work experience in the data communications field is required and Advanced Networking designations are preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency in PC/Windows environment.
