You will be responsible for understanding their strategy and future needs as well as delivering the Sourcing service to these areas projects including leading the tendering and commercial negotiation with a wide range of vendors.

We seek to offer a service, which offers best practice sourcing approaches to internal service, project or Vendor Relationship managers.

Foreign travel should be expected as part of the role.

Experience of investment banking organizations is desirable but not essential.

Experience in global, blue chip organisations is a requirement.

- Proactively seek out and implement sourcing opportunities as well as understand and respond to client needs including establishing project requirements, deliverables, priorities and deadlines.

- Ability to constructively challenge clients regarding their requirements and approach where appropriate and have the influencing skills to have an impact at senior levels.

- Demonstrate sound understanding of client business and needs together with the ability to develop convincing ideas and solutions to meet these needs.

This will include the injection of your own creative ideas for client problems.

- Ensure appropriate expertise and resources are mobilized in order to ensure successful project delivery.

- Communicate project progress to clients and manage their expectations concerning delivery.

People - Ensure information is shared between team members whilst also demonstrating the ability to communicate concisely, convincingly and effectively to a wider (client) audience (especially upwards).

- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a high level of self-motivation to overcome obstacles and utilize a positive approach in the face of difficulty whilst encouraging the same approach in others.

- Effective influencer at all levels but especially at the senior management level and across all company divisions.

- Able to carry though ideas to delivery and able to create and leverage a network.

Functional/Technical - Project manage and own the sourcing project through every stage to delivery.

- Apply specialist knowledge to identify potential Sourcing opportunities.

- Ensure that commercial risks & quality judgements are explicitly made.

- Ensure that the benefits of a competitive approach between vendors are maintained for as long as possible in a project.

- Experienced commercial and legal negotiator including excellent contract drafting skills.

- Sound analysis (especially financially) of data and issues to develop workable solutions on a timely basis.

- Ensure that your own knowledge of best in class procurement practices & marketplaces is demonstrated and continuously updated.
