Senior Program Manager in Major Brokerage firm.

ESP is looking to find Senior Program Manager for our client, a Major Brokerage Firm in New York City, NY. Position description: The Program Manager is a member of the Application Development team for our banking client and performs a variety of program management, business analyst, and project management tasks related to the Compliance/Legal project portfolio.

The candidate may fill one or more roles on a single project or play a single role across several projects.

Specific assignments will depend on the size and complexity of the project but will generally include: - Managing program deliverables across constituent projects including coordinating project teams and business sponsors; reporting status of programs; supporting associated Relationship Managers and senior IT leadership.

-Gathering and documenting of business requirements, functional specifications, and visual system designs -Acting as the interface and advocate between the business users and the development teams -Leading requirements gathering discussions, prioritizing topics, maintaining focus -Producing requirements documents that may take the form of Word documents, diagrams, matrices, use cases, process flows or other similar artifacts.

-Proactively identifying and managing issues to full resolution -Creating and maintaining detailed project plans for team members and summary project plans or presentations for stakeholders.

-Change management of scope changes to a project -Managing project tasks, phases, or workstreams to closure - May manage, oversee work, mentor or write performance appraisals of other IT project managers.

The role requires credibility and confidence interacting with senior management, business unit and compliance/legal personnel, and the technology team across the full lifecycle of a project.

Required skills: -6+ years hands-on experience performing program/project management and/or business analysis and requirements specifications.

-5+ years planning, tracking and reporting medium to high complexity technology projects - experience in financial services compliance settings.

-Critical thinking and translation of business needs into technology solutions.

-Excellent written/oral communication skills and listening skills.

-Full systems development life cycle experience -Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio.

-Solid knowledge of project/portfolio management techniques and Microsoft Project.

Desired skills: - Working knowledge of modern systems architectures and software development techniques (structured analysis/design, RUP, HID etc.). - Working knowledge of mainframe, distributed and web technology platforms.

- Candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment Candidate should have flexibility to adapt as the project evolves.
