Senior Operations Specialist (Code 05-2670 - Santa Clara) Responsibilities: Provides a variety of administrative and clerical functions in support of the group.

Incumbents assigned to this position will have responsibility for retirement account support, or for operational support to ensure compliance with the bank's secrecy act, or for providing assistance on the operational help desk, answering procedural, compliance and legal related questions.

This position may also handle the functions of the utility for the department.

Monitors daily completion and accuracy of currency transaction reports and other Bank Secrecy Act related transactions.

Monitors daily completion and accuracy of retirement account forms submitted by banking offices.

Participates in the year-end IRA reporting requirements, gathering documentation and verifying data.

Incumbents at this level will respond to the more complex issues presented by bank office staff.

Maintains all necessary reports and informs immediate supervisor of pending items.

Responds to requests for special client needs.

Ensures timely and high quality services.

Complies with operation and security procedures to ensure the bank is not placed in a potential loss situation.

Collects data and identifies trends, issues, discrepancies and informs management of findings.

Ensures that all new procedures and policies are adequately implemented.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements: 3 to 5 years bank operations experience required, with advanced knowledge of banking operations in an organization of similar size and complexity.

General math skills, good communication and documentation skills, and attention to detail required.

Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software programs (Excel, Word) required.
