Relationship Banker - Heights*Job Type: Full-TimeLocation: Houston, TXLast Updated: Job Description: Location: Heights Banking Center, 414 W.
19th Street, Houston 77008 Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Rotational Saturdays Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED At least three years of experience in customer service or sales to include at least two years relevant banking experience Ability to work in fast-paced team environment, handle multiple tasks and prioritize work Ability to apply general accounting knowledge (debits, credits, balancing) to processes Ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment in decision-making and understand consequences of decisions Ability to solve problems; must possess excellent research and analytical skills Ability to cross sell bank products and services Enjoys working with the public Excellent customer service skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Intermediate level computer competency including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel and Outlook) Proficient use (by touch) of 10-key calculator Accurate keyboarding skills (30-35 wpm) Preferred Qualifications: College degree in a related field Some banking experience Ability to conduct a customer financial interview and provide appropriate solutions Ability to identify prospects and make presentations Proven mentoring, training, and coaching skills General knowledge of banking products, entity documents, policies, processes and procedures General knowledge of banking systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable Duties: Sells bank products and services to new and existing customers Develops and grows book of business through prescribed methods and follow-up Develops relationships using a prescribed method of financial interview and follow-up Refers qualified leads to profit centers Provides excellent customer service to existing deposit and loan account holders by responding to customer inquiries and providing services including stop payments, ordering checks, closing accounts, safe deposit boxes, etc. Obtains complete and accurate account documentation Provides notary service as necessary Assists customers with entry/departure to safe deposit boxes Performs other related duties as requested or assigned We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
