Project Manager - Infrastructure
Project Manager with Infrastructure experience - Capital Markets Project Manager: IT Global Infrastructure Responsibilities: * Full Information Technology project lifecycle management (startup through deployment) for a large scale, multi-initiative and multi-year project.
* Management of assigned projects or responsibility for specific project components, such as Project Charters, business requirements documents, testing plans, migration planning and procedure updates.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor budget, costs and milestones.
* Manage vendors through the RFP, selection and delivery phases of the project.
* Detailed coordination between multiple IT groups and interaction with all project constituents (Business, Operations and Finance).
* Ensure effective project communication via road maps and regular updates to project sponsors.
* Manage priorities, issues, risk mitigation and change.
Requirements: * Detail and 'results' oriented with a structured approach to planning and organization.
* Strong communication (verbal & written) and influencing skills.
* Hard working, self motivated and assertive.
* Knowledgeable of back-/mid-office operations and current technology architecture / systems.
* Skills in Microsoft Office, ability to create documents and presentations, develop spreadsheet cost models, ROI analysis and project justifications.
* Ability to create and present executive level reports and presentations.
* Foster team building.
Able to manage relationships with people of diverse backgrounds.
Business Experience and Education: * BS/MS/MBA (accounting, finance, management information systems) or equivalent experience.
* Eight to twelve years progressive work experience in a capital markets organization, preferably in an Asset / Wealth Management organization.
* Four to five years of prior project management experience required.
* Previous work experience in leading and managing complex projects.
* Project management certification a plus.
