Project Manager, Fixed income, P & L MUST HAVE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Job Description As part of the GS & P (Global Systems and Projects ) group within the Finance division.

One of the major projects within focus is the global re-engineering of the P&L Strategy and Fixed Income Division (FID) Downstream Architecture of the firm.

The core services of this project are trading and transaction processing, pricing/risk/analytics, and common data services.

The design principles of this program entail silo compression, cross product processing, and consolidated transaction store and data feeds.

GS & P requires a Program/Project Manager to drive a recently structured implementation program across all of the primary Downstream Architecture functional areas in scope, which covers the middle office, product control, and market and credit risk processes/functions in addition to incorporating into the P&L Strategy redesign within the Finance division.

This is a significant effort with broad coverage of key areas of the firm on a global basis.

The Project Manager will be responsible for continual development of the cross-divisional relationship between FID, Operations, Risk Management, Finance and IT as well as the management of all aspects of the implementation of the P&L Strategy and FID Downstream Architecture program.

In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the implementation efforts related to the project objectives mentioned above.

Responsibilities * While the nature of this role is to provide broad based oversight to the project, responsibilities include working closely with both the functional analysts, primary system development leads and the business stakeholders to ensure effective communication exists in developing business requirements and system rollouts.

* Focus on determining the success criteria of the implementation and helping to educate the stakeholders about how the process works is imperative.

* Utilize project management tools and experience to develop and monitor project plan execution for all P&L Strategy and FID downstream related implementation workstreams * Drive the program to assure timely meeting of deadlines and targets.

* Develop communications plan for the steering committee and other senior stakeholders.

* Develop change management strategy and program.

* Interface with other specific PMOs within the firm to assure proper linkage with their projects and programs.

* Provide PMO support to London and Tokyo offices; oversee regional project Divisional resources to ensure consistent execution.

Requirements * Solid understanding of business and technology dynamics within the capital markets industry.

* Proven track record of delivering and managing large scale, complex, multilevel, multifunctional projects successfully.

* Significant experience in process re-engineering, business controls and cost control management across multiple areas of the financial markets.

* Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products, best-practices in capital markets Operations, Market and Credit Risk Management and Product Control.

* Experience and understanding of the role that new solutions and technologies play in the altering of traditional business practices.

* Understanding of system development methodologies, control systems, architectural design principles and performance engineering.

* Experience in managing software development.

* Broad knowledge of basic technologies (ie Database operations, Middleware design, Operating Systems, etc.). * Proven ability to drive change using change management skills.

* Training development and technology solution delivery experience.

* Strong cross-functional team leadership and influencing skills.

* Highly organized, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Willingness to travel.

Qualifications * BS in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent, Masters Degree a plus.

* Minimum of 7 years of large scale project management experience with a preferred minimum of 7+ years in the Fixed Income capital markets operations.
