Part-Time Payroll Coordinator
The Provident Bank, a multi-billion dollar New Jersey bank with offices in ten New Jersey counties is seeking a Part-time Human Resources Payroll Coordinator in our Employee Relations Department located in our Jersey City, New Jersey office.
In this job the ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the administration and support of payroll and related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates data for payroll such as garnishments, overtime, bonus payments, benefit deductions and direct deposit information.
Coordinates the receipt of electronic timesheets and reviews downloaded information for completeness and accuracy and enters data into payroll/HRIS system.
Compiles appropriate reports to ensure accurate payrolls.
Coordinates and maintains the receipt of Paid Time Off records for all employees.
Works with Payroll Specialist to ensure effective department operations.
This includes assisting with processing of payrolls, assisting in the preparation of reconciliations and responding to department inquiries and employment verifications.
Takes full ownership of the payroll process in the absence of the Payroll Specialist.
Administers the Transit check system.
Organizes and distributes to participating employees.
Performs other related duties.
EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 1 to 3 years office experience.
Experience with ADP payroll desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll taxes.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer operations including Microsoft Office, payroll and HR software.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to work with an attention to detail.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
