Mainframe DBA
Mainframe DBA Functional Title: mainframe DBA Job Requirements: -- 8+ years DB2 DBA experience (or equivalent background) -- Primary responsibilities include support of production CICS/batch environments and application development groups -- Understanding of DB2 storage management using both SMS and VCAT technologies -- Knowledge and experience using DB2 Work Load Manager (WLM) -- Ability to analyze SQL and recommend performance related improvements -- Complete understanding of DB2 and MVS utilities -- Familiar with issues related to open system connectivity to DB2 -- Basic understanding and experience with DB2 data modeling -- Motivated individual with good communication and organization skills -- Excellent problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills -- Understanding of DB2 replication from mainframe-to-open systems is a plus -- Financial industry experience is a plus -- Weekend and Night shift work often required
