Please refer to the following job codes when responding: Financial Analyst II (Code 06-2946) Palo Alto, CA Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting with the month end general ledger close and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Assist with month end and quarter end general ledger close, which includes reviewing particular financial transactions and performing variance analysis on selected organizations within the company.
Responsible for the accounting for pension plans and bank owned life insurance.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior management and external reporting.
Back up other functions within the department, including a daily performance report and maintenance of the reconciliation software.
Assist with general ledger maintenance, including the opening of new general ledger accounts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Finance and/or Accounting degree.
CPA preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years accounting experience.
Financial Analyst II East Palo Alto, CA (Code 06-2968) Responsibilities: Assists with the financial planning and analysis functions for the Business & Technology Services Group.
Conducts a variety of financial analysis and ad hoc reporting.
Assists with the business unit's participation in the financial planning and budgeting process and required analyses to support planning strategies.
Prepares financial and accounting analysis projects and statistical studies for the Business & Technology Services Group.
Conducts research to analyze data and determine causes for budgetary variances.
Coordinates with department heads and re-forecast budgets on a periodic basis.
Prepares documentation for periodic business unit reviews.
Prepares monthly analyses relating to budget and/or re-forecast variances.
Prepares and distributes monthly business unit profitability analyses/reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Finance and/or accounting degree.
3 to 5 years finance experience in a banking operations environment.
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and Visual Basic.
Access and data mining experience a plus.
