C# / .NET Engineer. Financial Experience Required.
Experienced C# / .NET Engineer.
Prior work in an international financial services firm preferred.
The role offered is to work on the development of a system to support banking and brokerage operations.
The goal of the team is to complete the existing product set, add new products and implement the application across other desks.
The chosen candidate's focus will initially be on the development of the application and it is essential that he or she possess excellent Development skills and experience.
Ideally the candidate will already have Development Team Lead experience, or show the potential to step into a Lead roll within a 3 to 6 months period, and take responsibility for the application and team.
The ideal candidate will: * Possess a minimum of 4 years experience designing and developing Windows applications with a minimum of 2 years in .Net application development, * Have .Net experience which must include extensive development work in C# .
* Web development experience using .Net is a plus but it cannot be a substitute for full client development experience.
* Must demonstrate sound fundamental knowledge in multi-threaded programming and object oriented programming concepts.
* Have prior experience in capital markets, derivates, credit front office development / financial engineering strongly preferred.
* Have "grown up" with older desktop technologies such as C++/COM/VB is a plus.
* Experience in carrying out complete project life cycle through out analysis, design and development phases.
Minimum Requirements * A BS in a related IT field of study.
A Graduate Degree is strongly preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and must be able to understand application requirements, communicate effectively and confidently with business users, team members and senior-level management.
Functional/Technical Background: * Prior professional experience with .Net and C# development in a Windows environment.
* Strong client orientation - must have good interpersonal skills.
* Aware of the need for quality.
* Good knowledge of the investment banking industry in general.
* Strong written verbal communication skills.
