Area Sales Manager-Los Angeles
POSITION OVERVIEW: Supervises the productions within an Area.
Develops existing, and cultivates new origination sources for one or more mortgage product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to: Establishes and implements a marketing strategy for the designated territory in line with company objectives.
Accountable for attaining production, revenue, compliance and profitability goals set for the Area by the VP Regional Sales Manager.
Evaluates budgets, forecasts and reports to ensure company's fiscal requirements are being met. Monitors and manages branch performance and P&L and reports findings to senior management.
Monitors/reviews performance of Account Executives to ensure predetermined production goals are being achieved.
Areas reviewed, include the following: Number of units and volume of loans originated & closed Broker performance Pull Thru, Product mix, Conversion rate (# of brokers using software) Budget & revenue targets being achieved Market saturation & new broker activation Quality loan objectives Cross selling of products Recruits, trains and develops Account Executives within their Area.
Designs and applies monthly/annual key objective "Action Plan" for Account Executives Completes annual performance reviews for Account Executive reviews.
Manages recruiting and termination of Account Executives, as needed.
Travels to key markets to evaluate conditions, visit key accounts and provide leadership and support to Account Executives.
Attends industry related conventions and trade shows as needed.
Plans and organizes regular sales meetings with Account Executives in region.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Five (5)+ years in Wholesale Mortgage Banking with recent multi-state sales management experience.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
Superb written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, Outlook etc. Strong operations and computer systems exposure where LOS interfaces and data transfer and maintenance were required.
