Senior Development Editor
Position Summary: The Senior Development Editor is responsible for program conceptualization, project management, and content development of selected print and technology educational programs for college history courses.
The Senior DE takes the lead in market-focused developmental planning and decision-making.
The DE manages the review process, prepares and monitors schedules, and keeps projects within budget.
The DE monitors authors in their execution of the development plan, providing market-oriented, specific feedback for improvements.
The DE hires and manages authors and freelancers creating content for print and technology components of the package.
And the DE provides marketing and sales support upon request.
Requirements Approximately 5-8 years experience in project management and development required.
The ideal applicant must be an excellent problem-solver as well as independent, organized, focused, assertive, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to work well within a team.
