Production Artist (~)
Position Type: Temporary Our client, a small design studio in downtown San Diego, is looking for a production designer for onsite, short term projects.
They are looking for an efficient, knowledgeable person to work with the fast-paced environment.
Local candidates only - SAN DIEGO.
The production designer works directly with senior designers and creative director to manage all aspects of production for multiple projects.
· Must be willing and able to multi-task on a wide range of projects including multi-page publications/brochures, resizing, mock-ups and presentation boards · Must be completely familiar with pre-flight / pre-press and printing processes · Experience working in design studio environment and directly with print vendors a must · Must be able to perform well under tight deadlines · Extensive knowledge of the print production and experience attending press checks All applicants applying for US job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of print production.
The candidate should have 2-5 years experience.
· Independent and good problem-solving skills · Strong organizational, project and time management skills required · Mac OS X platform with proficiency in CS Suite [preferred], including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop · Proficiency in html, Flash is a plus.
