Mathematics Field Marketing Manager
Position Summary: The Mathematics Field Marketing Manager builds product awareness and sales in the market and provides product marketing, campaign and presentation support for Houghton Mifflin’s basal and NSF elementary mathematics programs.
This includes, but is not limited to, providing market and product training; conceptualizing and developing field marketing materials; conceptualizing and executing specific pre-work and campaign specific sales/marketing activities with the regional sales teams; preparing/updating competitive analysis; developing relationships with key mathematics advocacy groups at the state, regional and national levels; developing and delivering sales presentations as well as supporting the efforts of the marketing director.
Key responsibilities for this position include planning, coordinating and execution of field marketing activities and materials; managing and communicating product and competitive information to the field sales group; supporting specific sales campaign initiatives via key account visits, sales presentations and the development of marketing materials.
Requirements BA/BS in Education (Master’s degree preferred) At least five years elementary educational experience Knowledge of both basal and NSF elementary mathematics markets Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills Project management experience Experience conceptualizing and executing marketing materials Experience planning and developing mathematics inservice Ability to prioritize, collaborate and take the initiative Experience working with high-level state/district administrators.
Publishing experience preferred.
Familiarity with Power Point and Lotus Notes.
Self motivated.
Ability to travel.
