Financial Data & Applications Testing Manager White Plains, NY JOB DESCRIPTION - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of the PSA group is to provide a product content testing service to product groups within Reuters.

PSA are responsible for verifying analytic calculations for accuracy and also for testing data flow from source database to product according to a set of mapping rules before new product versions are released.

This type of testing enables content corruption, retrieval/display problems and other content related bugs to be reported and corrected before the products are distributed to clients.

Manage a global team and ensure appropriate testing practices are applied and all testing deadlines are met Identify and embed a fit-for-purpose testing methodology into group activities, ensuring PSA data acceptance and analytics testing is a key milestone in the product release cycle Incorporate industry recognized testing standards and best practices into PSA methods of working Establish and maintain strong relationships with key product management stakeholders to effectively forecast and plan for the testing of future releases Recruit, manage and ensure effective team training to achieve high professional standards Provide leadership and direction for the team, seeking to continuously improve product testing processes and service provided Represent testing results and recommendations to senior management as part of a Fitness for Launch review within the product launch decision making process Promote product content and data flow knowledge within the Content organization to meet service targets and improve data flow/mapping knowledge Apply a customer focused approach to all tasks Challenge, motivate and develop staff within the team Contribute to management team activities in line with operational and business needs This is a representative list of the duties required of this job.
