Editorial Associate
Position Summary: Houghton Mifflin Company, one of America's leading publishers of textbooks, educational software, fiction, nonfiction and reference works has an Editorial Associate position available in the School Division.
The Editorial Associate provides editorial support for assigned projects.
Performs basic proofreading and copyediting duties, researches assigned topics at libraries or on the Web, formats manuscripts, creates and updates pagination charts and bookmaps; prepares tearsheets and edits and writes, as directed.
Provides support for technology projects by supplying and tracking electronic files and hard copy as needed.
Effectively utilizes technology tools in the publishing process to facilitate development efficiency and to enhance product quality.
Requirements Minimum of 1-3 years experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualified applicants will have exceptional organizational skills and be able to meet all deadlines.
B.A/B.S required Knowledge of education and/or Social Studies is a big plus.
