Editorial Assistant: Nature Publishing Group
Nature Publishing Group is looking for an Editorial Assistant for the monthly research journal Nature Chemical Biology.
The Editorial Assistant is responsible for administrative support for the editorial team and reports to the Chief Editor.
The position is based in the Cambridge, MA office of Nature Publishing Group.
Main responsibilities include: managing the journals manuscript tracking database; dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence; interacting with authors and referees during the review and acceptance processes; tracking copy flow and ensuring that deadlines are met; managing the accept process and initiating production on accepted papers, and providing editorial support for the journals editorial team.
The successful applicant will have basic administrative experience working in an office environment.
We seek a detail-oriented and conscientious individual capable of working efficiently and collaboratively on time-sensitive publishing tasks.
Excellent computer skills, including an understanding of databases and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe CS, are essential.
A four year degree is required, and a general interest in science is helpful.
