Director, Advertising Services
Director, Advertising Services (104716) As leader of the Advertising Services Department in our midtown, Manhattan office, the director supports the effective and efficient operation of the Advertising Services Center in Orlando Florida, Global Advertising Layouts in South Brunswick, New Jersey and advertising services bureaus in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
Departmental functions include managing publication models and calendars; space management and logistics; contract, order and material processing; prepress quality assurance; advertising layouts and pagination quality assurance.
The department is mission-critical to the publication of The Wall Street Journal 6 days a week in the United States, 5 days a week in Europe and Asia and weekly for Barron's and The Wall Street Journal Sunday.
The department is responsible for advertising customer satisfaction and compliance with company policy, laws and regulatory guidelines.
The director serves as chief management-level liaison with other departments including Advertising Sales, News Production, Page Distribution, Mechanical Production, Credit and Collection, Finance, Online Advertising Services and Information Technology, tasked with resolving any inherent paradoxes to the greater good of readers and all advertisers.
