Staff Level Cost Accountant
Staff Level Cost Accountant QUAD656 - "YOUR LINK TO THE MARKETPLACE" Our Financial Services client is experiencing rapid growth.
The client currently has two openings for payroll specialist on a temporary to hire basis.
This client offers a fast paced entrepreneurial environment where an experienced payroll professional can succeed.
Job Description: Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining cost accounting functions in the MRP cost accounting systems including: revenue, gross margin, inventory and variance analysis.
Perform inventory valuations and reconciliations, set up and oversee physical/cycle counting and prepare and analyze financial reports, including manufacturing variance analysis, inventory trends and cost of sale analysis.
Help develop and improve cost accounting policies and procedures.
Aid in coordinating cost accounting functions in accordance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and company policy.
Responsible for revenue recognition and recording of Sales, Cost of Sales and GM. Responsible for POC revenue recognition and recording of Sales, Cost of Sales and GM. Performs systems analysis of cost/inventory systems and procedures.
Responsible for creating and recording journal entries.
Responsible for reconciling accounts related to POC, Inventory, Warranty and Reserves.
Daily inventory accounts reconciliation.
Quarterly/Yearly analysis of inventory, warranty, and contract reserves.
Responsible for SOX compliance in Cost accounting and SOX testing as necessary Requirements: Staff level experience.
Cost accounting experience Exposure to foreign cash handling processes.
Six months to one year experience with foreign cash handling experience.
BS degree required Solid knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting practice Government contract accounting preferable QUAD656 specializes in the placement of Accounting, Financial and Administrative professionals on a Direct Hire, Temporary and Project Staffing basis.
