Job Description The PriceWaterhouseCoopers Houston SALT group is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join the practice.

The candidate should have prior state and local tax consulting experience in a Big 4 or National Firm environment or comparable industry/government experience and 3-5 years of experience overall.

Prior experience working for the Texas Comptroller or comparable tax agency in another state is a plus.

Service Tax Industry Not Applicable Office Houston TX Years Experience Required 3+ Education Required BA, BS or BBA is required.

CPA preferred.

Masters of Taxation, JD, LLM or IPT/CMI designation is a plus.

Job Requirement Essential Successful candidates will have a strong technical tax background in tax research, consulting and compliance as it relates to multistate tax specialties.

Prior experience in a tax professional services firm, industry, law firm and/or government agency (ie Texas Comptroller's Office) is preferred.

Successful candidates must also possess client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities and be highly motivated to take the initiative for own development of staff.

The candidate will have the opportunity to network extensively with existing and prospective clients, to assume a high degree of responsibility and exposure within the Firm.

The candidate should be able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as manage team members.
