Job Details: Corporate Planning is a global group that is central to Harrah's Entertainment's domestic and international development activity.
Our Chairman and other senior executives look to this Planning Group for strategic direction on a regular basis.
Corporate Planning works hand in hand with our Corporate Development group to assess new business ventures.
Market entry strategies, growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, alliance evaluation, dispositions and capital budgeting are all activities for this team.
Assess economic potential of new business opportunities; Develop gaming and non-gaming revenue estimates for new developments, property enhancements and M&A transactions; Assist in development of models to understand drivers of market visitation and customer behavior; Perform evaluations of domestic and international gaming markets to understand demand / supply dynamics and identify new revenue opportunities; Regularly track and report on market trends and Harrah's performance relative to the competition; Assist in annual planning process.
Work activities include computer analysis, data analysis and interpretation using standard applications and internal systems, preparation of reports, memos and presentations, and internet research on legislative, industry and financial developments that affect gaming markets.
Strong quantitative, technical, and writing skills; proficiency in Excel and Access; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and remote customer base to achieve desired results; three to five years of professional analytical experience and/or market research preferred, including database work and data analysis; strong customer service orientation; comfortable with math and statistics; casino or hospitality/resort experience preferred; BA or BS in marketing, math, economics, social sciences, hotel management, or business.
Advanced degree preferred.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced corporate environment and have strong organizational skills, critical thinking and problem solving ability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
