Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate and timely billing of Company receivables for Disneyland, Disney's CaliforniaAdventure, the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel.
Maintain the Galaxy ticketing module and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
Recommend and comply with accounting policies which support the overall business goals of the Company.
Partner withResort Revenue, Corporate Credit, Sales & Marketing, Legal,Main Entrance, and Ticketing Services to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for ticketing events and consignments.
Review/strengthen internal controls, ensure integrity of the subledger, monitor aged receivables, control deposit requirements and ensure valid signed contracts are in place before business is conducted.
Represent the A/R Department by providing points of view, feedback and attending meetings on various A/R-related subjects and new business initiatives.
Meet client service standards through timely resolution of internal and external client issues; monitorand ensure accurate and timely invoice and refund processing.
Prepare journal entries to the general ledger.
Prepare weekly and monthly account reconciliations.
Analyze, explain and correct variances.
Provide leadership and guidance to A/Rhourly Cast Members.
Provide fact sheet input for presentation at the Financial Statement review meetings; analyze and explain variances.
Monitor monthly forecasts and variances for Accounts Receivable billed and unbilled accounts.
Identify and implement continuous efficiency improvements.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field Years of expereince 3-5 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, and aptitude to quickly learn other system software Strong analytical skills Job Requirements: See above Click here to apply via the Disney Career Opportunity Portal
