Manager, Financial Planning And Analysis
Position Summary: Member of Finance dept.
responsible for managing the largest expense area at DCI. Assists VP in managing, reporting and analyzing all programming hours to accurately forecast program amortization and cash flow.
Responsibilities
1. Manage, report, and analyze all programming hours by contract to accurately forecast program amortization and cash flow.
2. Monitor program buy-in from International and Domestic networks, as well as company finance opportunities and revenue.
3. Manage network overhead expenses and recommend corrective action when necessary.
4. Issue analysis and resolution that requires critical thinking and thorough knowledge of financial impacts.
5. Develop most appropriate systems and tools with team members to facilitate efficient, effective and accurate analysis.
6. Proactively direct and maintain high standards of accountability within the team to demand and deliver superior quality financial information on time-sensitive basis.
7. Navigate the department heads and budget managers through the accounting and finance function to ensure proper coding and accounting treatment of revenue and expenses.
8. Support Director with operational duties and communication between departments.
9. Work with Director, network GM and VPs to develop, review and compile network P&L for 5 year Business Plan.
10. Document processes and procedures and ensure quality customer service and efficiency.
11. Work on Special Projects as needed.
Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience.
MBA a plus.
* Five years experience in financial analysis, business planning or accounting, preferably in a media environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
* Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently.
* Excellent organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word.
* Knowledge of SAP a plus.
* Media, especially cable experience a strong plus * The legal right to work in the United States.
