**Hot Job**Sr Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis
The Celera Genomics Group is focused on discovery, development, and commercialization of diagnostic products as well as leveraging its proteomic, bioinformatic, and genomic capabilities to identify and validate drug targets and pharmacogenomic markers.
It seeks to advance its therapeutic discoveries through partnerships with technology and market leaders.
This position will be responsible for financial planning and analysis of Celera’s diagnostic Research & Development organization.
Additionally, this individual will support and analyze financial reporting to our strategic partners.
Responsibilities will include
1. Work closely with business partners to build and analyze detailed cost center and project annual budgets, forecasts, and long term plan
2. Analysis and communication of current variances to budget, previous forecasts, and prior yea
3. Perform quarterly project accounting spendin
4. Work with strategic partners to trade financial information, forecast and analyze partner financial
5. Assist in preparation of monthly executive management reporting, Board Packages, and Annual Planning package
6. Assist in preparation of quarterly Income Statement Analysis, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and sound knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
The candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 5 years of budgeting and financial analysis background.
MBA preferred.
Additionally, the successful candidate must be PC literate with significant expertise in Microsoft products.
Experience with SAP, Essbase, and Hyperion Enterprise preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, leadership, dependablity, accept responsibility for their work, be responsive to reporting deadlines and requests, and be flexible to changes in business conditions and job requirements in this fast paced operating environment.
Good problem solving and analytical skills are required, as well as the ability to develop innovative alternatives and recommendations.
In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to make well-reasoned and timely decisions, with the necessary skills to think and act effectively.
