Financial Analyst
Seeking Intelligent and Analytical individual!! Financial Analyst Company Description: Broder Bros., Co., is a privately held apparel distribution company with $225 million in publicly traded debt securities that purchases sportswear from more than 50 suppliers including: Adidas Golf, Columbia Sportswear, Champion, and Gildan.
This 80 year-old, $1 billion entrepreneurial-spirited company employs approximately 1,800 people and operates three well-recognized brands in the imprintable sportswear industry: "Broder", "Alpha", and "NES".
Broder Bros., Co. distributes through 16 distribution centers strategically located throughout the United States.
Broder Bros., Co. was purchased in May 2000 by Bain Capital, one of the leading private equity investment firms in the world.
Some of its more recognizable investments have included Staples, Domino's Pizza, Sealy Mattress, Toys R Us, Houghton Mifflin and Datek Online.
Working under the direction of the CEO, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial and operational analysis used to support management decision making processes and will work closely with all members of the senior financial management team.
The candidate must possess very strong analytical and data management skills, creative problem solving abilities, and must exercise sound judgment and use his/her own initiative.
Major Responsibilities: - Use data warehouse and business performance management systems to create management reports and perform complex analysis and modeling - Perform detailed analysis for various business functions - Prepare ROI models - Perform research outside the company as necessary - Lead in efforts to incorporate insights derived from analysis into operationalized tools - Provide the operational direction necessary to achieve financial performance targets - Support all functional departments with financial analysis and data - Other special projects as needed Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, finance, accounting, engineering or mathematics.
MBA preferred.
- 4 - 6 years experience performing detailed analysis for management in support of decision-making - Strong analytical, quantitative and data management skills - Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Access and data management required.
