Director Or Senior Manager, Services Leader
Title will be dependent upon the experience level of the candidate.
Position: Director or Senior Manager, Shared Services Location: Alameda, CA. UTStarcom is a global leader in IP-based end-to-end networking solutions and international service and support.

The Shared Services Leader is responsible for accounting accuracy, internal controls and process compliance for the company's domestic accounting operations (accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll).
The role will oversee the accounting operations and be responsible for promoting an operating environment of continuous improvement supporting the movement towards world-class and Multi-national operations.
Responsibilities: Lead the Alameda accounting operations including General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Stock Administration and Payroll (a group of about 10 people); Oversee the closing process and ensure accuracy, timelines and compliance to US GAAP and other statutory and accounting standards for all reported results; Ensure controls and processes required to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley, internal policies and external requirements are in place and operational; Maintain close relationships with internal groups being supported (tax, finance, procurement, revenue, overseas locations, etc.) ensuring a high level of internal customer satisfaction; Work with overseas locations to resolve intercom any billing and other accounting issues; Maintain a team with the necessary skill set and ensure processes are in place to provide development and training; Identify and implement process and systems improvements, efficiencies and best practices; Manage the coordination of the work needed to prepare for all audits (internal and external) including year end audit and quarterly reviews and ensure that adequate review occurs to ensure the accuracy of the results; Requirements: Candidate must have at least 7-10 years of experience in a finance managerial role demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and a successful track record of working in a team-based environment; Bachelor degree in accounting; Oracle experience a plus; Strong leadership qualities and ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels within the organization; Good understanding of US GAAP, internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements Title will be dependent upon the experience level of the candidate Please send resumes that match this description to jobs [at] utstar [dot] com UTStarcom is an equal opportunity employer M/F/V/D
