Additional information can be found on our website, www.sig.com. Job SummarySIG is expanding our software development team due to business growth and therefore we are hiring a dynamic Business Analyst to join our diverse team.

This role will cross over and collaborate with various lines of business and it will allow multi-tasking across several projects simultaneously.

The Business Analyst provides data and workflow analysis resulting in specifications for use by the various software development teams.

This involves traditional analysis work: consultation and discussions with end users, workflow evaluation; data attribute identification; and associated technical documentation.

The domain of business for which such analysis is to be done includes, but is not limited to, post-trade processing of information related to: risk management, profit and loss (P&L); compliance; trade execution analysis; processing of clearing information to and from our various clearing agents; and general processing requirements related to various sources of industry data.

Additionally, a critical and highly visible enterprise data project will be part of the initial business analysis responsibilities.

The Business Analyst may also be called upon to leverage business knowledge in order to assist with other aspects of the SDLC such as testing, light-weight project management, training and deployment planning.

Qualifications & SkillsKnowledge in middle and back office processing, including any combination of experience within buy or sell side firms a plus.

However, Wall Street experience is not an absolute must Experience with Disaster Recovery with respect to the physical restoration of system files and business data.

This does not necessarily require experience with overall business continuity/resumption planning and such DR experience is not required to be within Securities industry.

Understanding of the various workflows between trade & order management systems, database handling, clearing processes, data integrity maintenance, and reporting requirements a plus Well versed in development documentation, process improvements, as well as production streamlining Proficient with basic SQL but strong SQL skills a plus An understanding of Logical and Physical modeling concepts.

Hands on knowledge of ERWin or similar data modeling tool a plus Willingness and ability to work in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle Experience with database communication mechanisms like ODBC, TCP/IP, SQL*Net a plus Strong verbal communication skills required for liaising between systems administrators, traders, business unit heads and senior management.
