Associate, Java Developer W/ C/UNIX / Job Id#8102
Job Description: DESCRIPTION Java developer with knowledge of C/UNIX for maintenance of existing code.
Developer will participate in a re-engineering of a company-critical system and will be exposed to new software and hardware technology.
1. Analyze existing system and programming logic in C/UNIX to suggest improvements or support on-going projects.
2. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient solution for the design.
3. Code, debug and document programs.
4. Perform unit, system, integration, and regression testin
5. Write clear technical documentation.
6. When needed be flexible in providing off-hours support SKILLS Required: Required Skills · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
· 2 or more years of analysis, coding, maintenance and implementation experience.
· Oracle, UNIX, C, Shell Scripting, Perl, and SQL. · Rational Unified Process in code development, Java Distributed Applications development, Rational Rose or XDE modeling tools · Must be willing to work flexible hours and carry a pager.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must have experience creating basic documentation and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
