Accounts Receivable Accountant

Accounts Receivable Accountant Primary Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Pay Pal Billing, this position will bring a focused and driven mind, detail orientation, and can-do attitude to the following responsibilities: Process and research lockbox payments and exceptions Establish Credit process and perform credit checks Process cancellations Responsible for the AR Aging Report Research and resolve misapplied and unidentified payments Participate in Bill Run/Validation process Learn and perform other Billing functions as assigned Provide billing/testing support and identify impacts for future billing enhancements Manage and research escalated billing inquiries from Customer Support Work with cross functional teams to resolve billing issues Team lead responsibilities for other billing transactions and tasks Back up for billing analyst work when volumes spike Other billing tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements Minimum 7 years financial analyst experience Follows established departmental policies, procedures and continuous quality improvement objectives.
Advanced Technical skills in the following areas are required: Microsoft Excel and/or Access, financial reporting and planning systems (SAP or Business warehouse) and PowerPoint.
Ability to deal with ambiguity, must be self directed and motivated Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communications and relationship building skills along with the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management.
(IT, Customer Care, Accounting) Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve billing issues.
Ability to identify process improvements, automation opportunities and to question something when it does not make sense.
Bachelor and/or MS/MBA/MA degree or equivalent.
Verisign, Vantive, Kenan, SAP, or Data Warehouse experiences a plus.
