The Buddy Media Platform powers the social marketing efforts of some of the worlds largest brands and agencies from Anheuser Busch, Southwest Airlines, Disney and NHL to TBWA\Chiat\Day, WPPs M80, Universal Music/Geffin Records, Digitas and Razorfish among many.
Brands and agencies use the Buddy Media Platform to publish and manage social content, listen and act on consumer conversations, and analyze and track results.
Agencies also use the Buddy Media Platform to immediately grow social media revenues, while defending their existing business from competitors.
From publishing an offer to sharing product news, the Buddy Media Platform gives brands and agencies total control over their social marketing efforts to make social work.
Buddy Media is a privately held company, based in New York City, founded by Mike and Kass Lazerow in September of 2007.
Buddy Media is backed by Softbank Capital, European Founders Fund, GreyCroft Partners, Peter Thiel, Mark Pincus, Roger Ehrenberg, Howard Lindzon and additional investors.
The Role Buddy Media is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable Bookkepper to provide accounting support within the organization.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience, has a passion for entrepreneurship, and is looking to join a fast-paced organization.
The Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable Bookkeeper will be expected to work as part of the finance team.
The position is based in New York, NY and reports to the Bookkeeper.
Responsibilities * Enter invoices for payment * Manage weekly check run * Record all checks * Prepare vendor checks for mailing * Maintain listing of accounts payable * Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers * Post checks * Ensure A/R information is received in a timely, accurate manner * Research customer questions regarding payments made on their accounts * Accurately enter data into QuickBooks * Reconcile credit card statement * Meet Monthly Accounts Receivable Collection goals Qualifications * 3-5 years experience in general accounting, Accounts Payable and Receivable * College degree preferred * Microsoft Word & Excel Excellent * Knowledge of QuickBooks * Organized, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment * Works well independently and in a team setting * Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills * Experience dealing with Clients with collections *Willing to work extra hours when needed *work well with fast-paced deadlines *Need to produce, be accurate and meet monthly goals Buddy Media Inc. offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including: health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off and participation in the company equity plan.
