Accounts Payable Associate
Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate Location: Houston, Tx Status: Temp to Hire , Associate Reference Code: 28985 Job Category: Accounting/Auditing1 Education Level: High School or equivalent Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Relevant Experience: 2-5 yearsAccounts Payable Associate Job Order Number: FC-AP Position Description: Our Greenway client is looking for a professional Accounts Payable Associate.
Candidate must and possess the following requirements: · Must have a minimum of 2 years previous full-cycle accounts payable experience · Knowledge of basic accounting debit vs. credit and balance sheet vs. income statement accounts is required · Experience with 1099’s and sales and use tax · Good problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize · Very detailed oriented and extremely accurate · Ability to process, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions · Has a high level of self-initiative and motivation and is dependable · Communicates effectively with customers and coworkers · Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word · Independent thinker that can recommend improvements · Must project and maintain a positive Can-Do attitude at all times Position Requirements: · Open mail, date invoices and distribute to company personnel· Process and prepare all vouchers for payment· Prepare manual and computer generated accounts payable checks weekly· Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files· Assertiveness with regard to communications with vendors & employees· Review vendor statements for past due balances and reconcile vendor issues· Maintain and reconcile petty cash· Prepare journal entries · Assist in monthly closing· Prepare 1099’s annually If you are interested please email your resume to 2963-5resumes [at] westaff [dot] com Benefits: Westaff's staffing associates enjoy the benefits of a flexible schedule as well as the support of professionals who can help launch and develop their careers.
