Accounting Manager
Accounting Manager Align Technology, Inc., headquartered in Santa Clara, California, was founded in March 1997 to develop the next-generation, aesthetic orthodontic product.

Align Technology has an immediate opening in Santa Clara, CA for a Accounting Manager.
Manage the US general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable, as well as overall US month-end close activities.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring all reconciliations are maintained in accordance with the company's SOX procedures.
This position will also assist in the preparing quarterly audit schedules and support for external filings and in identifying, researching and documenting US accounting issues and assessing the impact to the company.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Manage the functional areas of the US general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
Supervise 2 accounting staff (Fixed Asset Accountant and AP Supervisor).
Develop and train accounting staff to meet the Company's needs and objectives; set priorities, provide timely feedback and manage performance - Manage the US month end closing process - coordinate with various accounting groups, such as, accounts receivable, cost accounting, stock/payroll and the reporting group to track completion of closing processes; ensure that all required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented and disclosed - Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for reasonableness, accuracy, classification, validity, completeness and appropriate application of GAAP.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as necessary - Review and analyze the US balance sheet trends and variances to forecast on a monthly basis.
Prepare flux analysis for US balance accounts in comparison to both prior quarter and year for quarter to date and year-to-date amounts - Prepare US balance sheet forecast on a quarterly basis and review with management - Obtain an overall understanding of the accounting software (JDEdwards) in order to understand system flows and maintain the chart of accounts, new system setups, allocations, and system procedures for year end close - Manage and maintain corporate travel and credit card policies and activities.
Assist in updating the travel policy and assessing the effectiveness of corporate travel programs.
Provide suggestions to improve travel expense reporting, streamline travel processes and/or reduce travel costs - Review and update general accounting policies, procedures and SOX documentation as necessary - Assist with requests for quarterly reviews, annual audit and other audits to ensure timely completion - A thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and a general familiarity of technical accounting pronouncements.
Assist in researching and preparing support for technical accounting memos as necessary Requirements: - Prefer 7-10 years of accounting experience - 5+ years of experience in general accounting or public accounting - 2+ years of management experience - Bachelor's degree in business or accounting required Visit Us At: www.invisalign.com Join Us!!
