Additional information can be found on our website, www.sig.com. Job SummaryThe Access / Excel Consultant will be the primary person responsible for leading the migration from legacy versions of Microsoft Access to Access 2003 as well as providing 3rd level support for Microsoft Excel.
As with most Wall Street firms, MS Access and Excel are heavily used in the trading environment.
This role is intended to drive the Access migration effort and provide best practice recommendations for both Access and Excel data file and embedded code management going forward.
There is high potential for this to become a full time role within the organization.
Qualifications & SkillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of VBA and macros.
Proven experience with external data source connectivity such as ODBC and DDE. A strong interest (but not necessarily employment history) in the securities business.
Strong coordination skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Proficient with basic SQL, strong SQL a plus.
